Application Process

1

Initial Proposal

Submit your detailed proposal via the Qubic website, including project details, requested funding, and team background.

2

Review and Selection

Proposals are evaluated based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with Qubic’s goals.

3

Development and Delivery

Funding is released in four stages, each tied to specific milestones: setup, mid-development, beta testing, and final deployment.

4

Evaluation and Audit

All projects undergo thorough evaluation, including code reviews and security audits, to ensure they meet program standards.

Project Guidelines

Tutorials

Video tutorials to explain user interfaces are highly encouraged. These tutorials will help users understand and utilize the smart contracts effectively.

Documentation

Comprehensive documentation explaining the functionality. This should include user guides, API documentation, and technical specifications.

Detailed Proposal Requirements

The Qubic Grants Program is designed to be open and accessible. If you want to contribute or get involved, here are some ways you can do that

Concept Validation

The proposal must include a well-researched or tested concept, ideally with evidence of prior work.

Technical Design

A detailed technical design is required. The more comprehensive, the better. Include diagrams, flowcharts, and any other documentation.

Relevant Experience

Experience with relevant languages and front-end implementations. Provide examples of past projects or contributions to similar technologies.

Sustainable Development

Show how the project will be sustained after the grant, either through a commitment to the technology, additional funding, or a business model.

Innovation

Highlight how the application stands out among competitors or implements technology that is not yet present in the ecosystem.

Open Source

All produced code must be open-source and should not rely on closed-source software. Preferred licenses include Apache 2.0, GPLv3, MIT, or Unlicense.

Token Sales

Projects with token sales are ineligible for grants. Exceptions include token swaps that promote interoperability with Qubic’s technology.

Multiple Grants

A team can apply for several grants. Outline how you plan to manage multiple projects and ensure quality across all of them.

Legal Compliance

We do not fund projects that encourage criminal activities. Ensure that your proposal adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.

Hackathons

The Qubic Foundation occasionally runs hackathons to help people generate new ideas for Qubic, and we highly encourage you to participate! However, you cannot use the same project for both a hackathon and the Grants Program.

If you're working on a project for a hackathon, your grant application must include different features or expand upon your hackathon project. This rule also applies in reverse: if you're applying for a grant first, your hackathon project should differ or build on it.
