What is the Qubic marketing strategy?
The very foundation of our marketing strategy is to increase visibility and educate our target audience about the achievements of the Qubic tech. We will showcase that Qubic’s tech is superior in many ways.
We're in the final stages of hiring a bunch of content writers that will support us in creating basic information about Qubic,, educational docs, a whitepaper and real-time developer docs. The created content is repurposed and pushed out as video content/infographs (data driven or comparative) through our freshly onboarded video/youtube team. The created content will serve as ammo for our organic KOLs.
Our marketing strategy is based on 3 pillars:
Developing a vibrant ecosystem.
After several talks with CEX heavyweights on our HK Event, it's pretty obvious they are only interested in "on-chain metrics". We're establishing an ecosystem grant program that will attract best-in-class dev teams to fuel our own hackathons that are planned in Q3 + Q4 this year. We can all agree that only a striving ecosystem will bring us to the top and will open the necessary doors to the T1 exchanges we all want. We are going after projects that have a massive impact on the Qubic ecosystem. So this is why our grant program will launch tomorrow and the first iteration will run until 31th of August. Projects will be funded through four milestones and all grant proposals are subject to review by renowned committee members. So by onboarding devs we maximize the onchain activity which will in return burn a lot more QUBIC and give us essentially free marketing through burn events.
2. Organic approach towards PR.
Rather than focusing on general buzz with massive sponsored posts everywhere, we're increasing our market awareness and brand visibility through organic articles that aim for real insights about e.g. AI topics that then mention Qubic in their articles. These articles are not marked as "sponsored posts" and attract more sophisticated investors. So we’re targeting to release at least 60 articles per month in the future,
3. Establishing thought leadership through events and partnerships.
This is a bit more complicated because we have two products with different target groups. We are splitting aigarth from Qubic in regards to marketing.
Aigarth and its promise for AGI in 2027 is really exciting! We're creating an own website and marketing plan for it, making it easier to get our info about aigarth centralized in one place and easier for companies to understand. This will pave the way to be known as a relevant AI research company comparable to OpenAi. Aigarth sparks a lot of interest in the corporate world and I am confident with this step we can close substantial corporate partnerships, while qubic obviously serves as a pathway towards aigarth.
For Qubic we focus on Grant programs, events, Crypto & Corporate Partnerships and our upcoming hackathons to fuel our ecosystem rather than throw money at KOLs. I am pretty confident that we will see some major partnerships in the next 6 months. Our aim is to get into partnerships that really elevate us. High quality partnerships rather than just the next bridge to another chain. (Which will obviously also happen).
TL;DR: Get our basic docs straight, educate our target audiences about Qubic through various channels, increase brand visibility through organic PR, onboard dev teams through grant program & hackathons, establish thought leadership through our events & partnerships, position aigarth as a relevant AI research company, create an ambassador program and introduce qubic into key regions that are missing right now.
Frequently Asked Questions
Track record of the marketing firm if they bring one in? {or in-house?}
They are one of the top PR firms for cryptocurrencies in the world. They work for Chainlink and others. It's a 3-month trial phase with them right now and June wasn't exactly exciting in terms of their numbers. We are working more closely currently to make July & August a success. But also we're hiring a bunch of content writers at the moment, to write our own PR, own docs, developer docs etc. to then publish it ourselves through PR networks. So in June we had 28 articles published with an estimated viewership of 1 Million. Will share July records once finished.
Are they going to target influencers to help marketing? If so, what criteria?
No they are not targeting influencers. I am currently in talks with digital marketing agencies around the globe to find one that fits for us. I am always open for recommendations, so just DM me if you have a top marketing agency that can elevate us in a professional way.
We have been seeing the same connected KOLs talking about Qubic for months. What are their plans to retain true whales in order to start raising the floor to meet what the perceived value of the company is really at?
They are not coordinated by us since they are all organic and not paid. We are working on organizing larger KOLs into a small group to update them and coordinate bigger marketing pushes together. So they have more content to publish and also maximize the reach of the existing content. But they are doing it freely and i mean this is the strength of qubic that it got this massive community and KOL support. And this is all organic.
Where are these new connections, and when can we begin seeing forward progress shared through major publications? We appear to be stuck in the same phase.
I know that this may seem so from the outside, but major things are coming out these days (Project X , Grant Program, AI Specialist signing ..) We try to finish stuff in the background before announcing everything out on the first idea. Also we’re increasing our level of transparency and reporting through our SteCo reports and blog posts, so you should know what has been accomplished every two weeks and where you could help.
Are there going to be defined strategies to involve the Qubic community in marketing ?
We have a zealy campaign test run ongoing to gauge interest of the current community in such events. Previously we have had community campaigns but they are specialized and appeal to the segment they are meant to target i.e. website design, logo design, thereby leaving the rest of the community alienated.
The current goal is to increase the community i.e. bring in more members into discord. For that a few avenues are being explored, a meeting with the zealy team is one, to see if they can get us more visibility and increase our member count. We’re trying to elevate this to a community marketing task board (website) with tasks and corresponding grants for community members.
But it's a community project and everybody's free to share ideas or proposals. Everybody that worked with them knows that I see myself more as an "enabler" and I am the last one to not support community ideas. So please feel free to share your ideas with a detailed proposal. My DMs are always open for the community.
Are they working on more marketing materials to make Qubic more understandable?
Yes, this is paramount, we are looking for content and technical writers who will be tasked with writing Qubic ecosystem docs and developer docs. The issue is many people don't understand much about Qubic hence these document re-writes are paramount. Along with that there will be plenty of infographics to form a content bank to use in marketing including but not limited to comparative analysis in various areas between competing chains, any ongoing event detailed via imagery, etc.The digital marketing agency will help with this too and will push articles certain locations to generate more traffic or to get more value for our bucks.
Are there plans to work with you tube crypto content creators / KOLs (aka pay for exposure)?
This depends on the creator, lots of youtube influencers have paid bots and engagement and we can never determine the real ROI from the investment towards them. If there are any presentable ones in the future we could use them for specific campaigns.
We currently do not work with any influencers or KOLs - every KOL who promotes us currently does it with no payment. We are using an organic method just like other successful projects like Tao, Kaspa and other fair launched projects did.
Which influencers or partners do you currently work with to promote QUBIC? Which KOLs may you be considering in the future?
As mentioned, all influencers & KOLs are doing it for free and nobody is paid. I am always looking for new KOLs when I get any offers. But i probably already went through checking 2000 KOLs and For most of them the ROI is debatable and not value for money. And this is also one of the strongest arguments for QUBIC, we have grown a massive community of KOLs without any paid/free bags which are very motivated to support the project.
Thanks again for getting back to me with those questions. We’re experiencing hard times right now but we’re also looking to a bright future: Our “Project X” is a huge protocol extension which you know from other chains - it will have a serious impact. Focus is on token economics - more I cannot say right now but we’re moving fast and you don’t have to wait for too long for the next update. Cheers Foley
