MODULE 1

LESSON 2

Hardware Basics for Mining

While you can mine on most computers, better hardware equals better results.

CPU (Most Important):

Best Performance

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X / 7950X / 7950X3D / 9950X / 9950X3D, AMD Threadripper (7000 series and newer), AMD EPYC (server grade, AVX-512 enabled)

Good Performance

AMD Ryzen 7 series (7700 and above)

RAM:

Minimum

16 GB DDR4–DDR5

Recommended

32 GB+ recommended for smoother training.

Storage:

SSD storage required for dataset/log access

Network:

Stable broadband (min 10 Mbps up/down)

Low latency improves job turnaround times

PRO TIP

AMD CPUs are strongly preferred for Qubic mining due to AVX-512 efficiency. Intel can work, but performance is generally lower unless AVX-512 is enabled.

HANDS-ON TASK

Check your system specs (CPU cores, RAM, storage, internet speed) and compare against the recommended setup above.
