Summary
Qubic is a decentralized organization. Work is structured into workgroups, and Marketing operates as its own workgroup. Funding and direction are not handed down from a manager. They are proposed by each individual workgroup lead and approved by computor vote. This is a different operating model from a traditional company, and it shapes how this role works.
We are looking for a Head of Marketing & Growth to own the full marketing function. This person sets the narrative, builds the strategy, structures the team, secures funding through proposals, and drives measurable growth across every marketing channel.
Role Summary
You will own marketing and growth end to end. You define the opportunity, set the narrative, build the plan, and execute against it with a team that you lead and hold accountable. You are equally comfortable in strategy sessions and in the weekly grind of creating content, running ads, and engaging with community questions and feedback.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be the person who turns vision into a weekly operating rhythm and turns that rhythm into results.
How This Role Works: The Marketing Workgroup
Qubic is decentralized, and this role operates differently from a conventional Head of Marketing. You will lead the Marketing workgroup as a self-directed unit with its own budget.
You secure your funding by building and submitting a proposal that goes live for computor vote. Each proposal covers a defined term, usually 2 to 3 months. In the proposal you specify what you will accomplish during the term and the budget required to do it. That budget typically includes:
Team salaries
Paid marketing budgets
Marketing tools and software
Once a proposal is approved, you own the execution and the budget. You manage spend, deliver against what you committed to, and report on results. Prior to the current term ending, you build and submit the next proposal based on what worked, what needs to expand and what needs to change. Your own compensation is part of the proposal you put forward, set within the role's range and justified by your experience and scope.
This means the role rewards someone who thinks like an operator and an owner. You are not just executing a plan. You are envisioning it, creating it, building it, executing it, funding it, and standing behind the numbers.
What You Will Own
Strategy and vision
Define the marketing narrative, the opportunity, and the positioning for Qubic.
Build the marketing strategy and the action plan.
Translate long-term vision into bite-sized achievable goals and weekly execution.
Team leadership
Assemble, structure, and lead the marketing team.
Set clear, accountable tasks and plans and own the delivery timelines.
Coach and develop direct reports across content, design, video creation, and business development.
Content and channel execution
Drive a consistent publishing cadence across X, LinkedIn, Discord, website and email.
Oversee the weekly newsletter, blog output, and all paid and organic campaign content.
Analyze new platform growth opportunities for Qubic: YouTube, Instagram, TikTok
Community and AMAs
Organize, coordinate, and host AMAs.
Handle all AMA announcements in Discord
Engage transparently and openly with the community in the marketing-think-tank
Manage the full AMA lifecycle from promotion through recap publication.
Paid media
Plan, launch, and run paid advertising monthly.
Manage budget and placements.
Review performance, conversion rates, and ROI, then optimize continuously.
Budget and proposals
Build and submit workgroup proposals for community vote, covering a 2 to 3 month term.
Define deliverables and specify budget for team salaries, paid campaigns, and tools.
Own and manage the approved budget, track spend, and report on outcomes and updates to the community on live AMAs.
Partnerships and PR
Develop partnerships with potential media agencies, podcast hosts, influencers, etc.
Lead press relations and secure placements when necessary.
Represent the brand voice in earned media and official communications.
The Deliverables
This role runs on a clear weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly rhythm.
Weekly
Monday AM: Lead the morning marketing call.
By Friday of the prior week: Deliver a fully fleshed out content plan for the week ahead. Head of Marketing approves all content.
Publish one weekly newsletter. (in inbox for review on Saturday morning)
Research, write and publish 1 to 2 blog posts weekly based on Qubic updates and releases.
Run and manage paid ads on a daily basis while managing ad spend and upcoming initiatives.
Review stats and conversion rates regularly, make optimizations and improvements.
Live AMAs
Twice a Month “All Hands”
Twice a Month (when there are live proposals) “Proposal AMA”
Any special AMAs (i.e Doge mining, tech on deck)
Schedule upcoming AMAs in Luma events + Discord events
Set up Streamyard and send link to on stage guests 24-hours pre-event on Discord
Coordinate, review and finalize guest slides for all AMAs
Send out invitations to events via Luma typically 24-hours pre-event.
Post ANN in Discord for event reminder (24-hours pre-event)
Post ANN in Discord when event goes live with live link to join on X
Publish every AMA recap within 48 hours of the AMA.
Per term (every 2 to 3 months)
Build and submit the next workgroup proposal for community vote.
Set deliverables and budget for the upcoming term.
Report on the results of the term that is closing to show adherence to plan and progress made.
Ongoing
Track campaign performance, report on it, and optimize it if/where necessary.
Keep the team coordinated, proactive, and on schedule.

What We Are Looking For
Required
Proven experience as a Head of Marketing or in a marketing leadership role or similar.
Strong digital marketing background across content, paid media, and community building.
Someone that is eager and hungry to learn.
Track record of building strategy and structuring teams from the ground up.
Hands-on experience organizing and hosting live or online events such as AMAs.
Demonstrated ability to run and optimize paid advertising.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience developing media and PR partnerships is a plus.
Proactive communicator and coordinator who drives plans forward without being asked.
Comfort owning a budget and being accountable for spend and results.
A doer. Someone who is not afraid to communicate openly and take the reins.
Preferred
Background in blockchain, crypto, or AI infrastructure.
Familiarity with technical product narratives and developer-adjacent audiences.
Experience marketing across X, LinkedIn, Discord, and email.
What Success Looks Like
The weekly content plan is locked in and scheduled before the week begins, every week.
Newsletter, blogs, ads, and AMA recaps created and on schedule without delay.
Team in regular and open communications daily.
Designs created at least one day prior to release of content.
Multiple hands on deck with design experience.
Paid campaigns improve in conversion and efficiency over time.
The team operates with clear ownership and accountable plans.
Workgroup proposals pass, budgets are managed responsibly, and committed deliverables ship.
