Qubic All-Hands Recap: December 11, 2025

The Qubic team held its first December All-Hands AMA, covering major progress across hackathon results, scientific research, core technology, ecosystem growth, and marketing initiatives. Here's everything you need to know.

Hackathon Update: HackTheFuture Wraps Up Strong

The Qubic #HackTheFuture hackathon delivered impressive numbers. The event brought together 1,654 hackers forming 256 teams, who submitted 102 projects over two days across two tracks. The hackathon was hosted in partnership with LABLAB, a community platform for AI builders that has previously collaborated with Google Cloud, ElevenLabs, IBM and other major tech players.

Scientific Team Update

Research Metrics

The scientific team's work continues to gain traction:

  • 16,918 reads on ResearchGate since December 2024

Neuraxon (launched November 2025)

  • ResearchGate: 2,350+ reads

  • GitHub: 190 stars, 9 forks, 1,667 visits and 129 clones in the last two weeks

  • HuggingFace: 16,715 model visits + 2,803 Life visits

NeuraxonLife 2

The scientific team released a comprehensive dataset from their artificial life simulations. NeuraxonLife 2 spans 9,794 simulated games and captures the neural architectures of over one million evolved agents.

Dataset scale:

  • 1M+ agents

  • 21M+ neurons

  • 15M+ synapses

  • 87M+ dendritic branches

Research applications:

  • Fitness prediction from neural parameters

  • Tracking how networks evolve across generations

  • Analyzing network topology patterns

  • Studying learned connection distributions

Survival time distribution analysis and game variation studies are currently underway.

Core Tech Updates

Key Highlights

The core tech team made several infrastructure improvements this period:

  • Integration Infrastructure: Active load balancing is now operational with optimized DDoS protection

  • Execution Fees: Testnet testing is complete. Organic burn from smart contracts is coming

  • Smart Contract Reviews: QSWAP and CCF received upgrades; new smart contracts have been deployed

  • Oracle Machines: The first isolated test successfully received information from an Oracle

Core Planning Roadmap

The team shared a detailed timeline stretching from December 2025 through March 2026:

Oracle Machines (OM) Timeline:

  • December 17: Mock testing on testnet

  • January 14: Mainnet testing begins

  • January 28: Go live

  • February onwards: Computors and developers start using it

Execution Fees

  • December 17: Mainnet testing begins

  • January 14: Fee deduction starts

New Algorithm

  • December 10: Core development started

  • January 2: Final Qiner version

  • January 21: Go live with new algorithm

DogeCoin Integration

  • Currently in draft stage

  • Design phase begins in late January

  • Development runs through February-March

Oracle Machine Progress

Most OM development milestones are complete:

  • Technical concept and design ✓

  • Oracle interface definitions ✓

  • Transaction definitions ✓

  • QPI upgrades ✓

  • Sample contract code ✓

  • Communication between OM and Core ✓

  • OM implementation with first Oracle connector ✓

Remaining work: protocol review and mock testing followed by mainnet testing.

Execution Fees Status

All development work is finished:

  • Technical concept and design ✓

  • Runtime accumulation ✓

  • Runtime communication ✓

  • Quorum value computation ✓

  • Execution fee deduction ✓

  • Reserve checking ✓

  • Epoch change handling ✓

  • Testnet testing (ongoing) ✓

Next step: Mainnet testing without deduction enabled.

Client and Integration Updates

  • Explorer 1.30.0: Minor update adding token categories

  • Mobile Wallet: Android updated to latest version; iOS approval still in progress with Apple

  • New IPO Endpoints: Enable automatic sync of active smart contract auctions

  • Backend Load Testing: Improved DDoS attack protection

  • QubicKit Integration: Allows developers to interpret network communication without byte-level coding

Ecosystem Updates

Incubation Program

The incubation program shows strong execution:

  • 18 total projects

  • 11 projects delivered (100% complete)

  • 1 project at ~90% development

  • 2 projects at ~50% development

  • 2 projects at ~20% development

  • 2 projects abandoned

Financial summary: $298k funded, $199k pending, 83% total execution rate.

Active Projects:

  • Solana Bridge: Delivery expected by end of June 2026

  • Qraffle: IPO open until end of current epoch (min share price: 10,500)

  • Vottun Bridge: Delivery by end of December 2025

  • OTC Escrow: Estimated Q1 2026

  • Qbuild: Estimated end of December 2025

  • Qulang: Awaiting delivery dates

Banxa Integration

Agreement and payment are complete. Qubic integration is underway with a 3-week ETA, though Christmas holidays may cause delays.

Key details:

  • US market will be available

  • UK market excluded due to regulation (requires ChainAnalysis integration)

  • Once live, any Qubic dApp can integrate FIAT on/off ramp within minutes

The Qubic Listing Board is exploring additional providers to avoid single-provider dependency and secure better fees.

Exchange Strategy

T2 and T3 exchange listings are on hold at the moment, unless listing costs are close to zero. If the T1 US listing doesn't materialize, funds will be returned around mid-January.

The focus has shifted toward tools that make Qubic easier to integrate, particularly custodian services.

Despite Banxa's higher fees compared to traditional exchanges, the integration opens Qubic to users in nearly every region. The team expects this broader access to drive higher overall volume.
