Bill "Schreck" Schreckenstein has joined the Qubic Grants Program Committee. Bill has an impressive career spanning over 24 years in the IT industry, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in web3, blockchain, distributed storage, and cybersecurity.

Bill’s Vision for Blockchain Adoption

Bill expressed his enthusiasm for joining the committee, "There is so much potential in the space, but I feel that a lack of foresight around web2 and enterprise integrations makes it a bit difficult to prosper. My role at Filecoin was to help figure out enterprise solutions, and I’m excited to bring that experience to Qubic, helping drive wider adoption. That was one of the reasons I was bought into Filecoin: to help them figure out the enterprise space and build the right solutions to garner traffic."

Bill believes blockchain is at an important moment, “My goal is to push enterprise and even SMB adoption of the (blockchain) technology as I feel it’s the next natural iteration, much like the public cloud awakening we have seen (over) the last 15 years.”

A Key Advocate for Web3 and Beyond

In addition to his work at Protocol Labs, Bill is currently leading his own stealth startup, where he’s continuing his mission to build innovative solutions within the web3 and blockchain space. His commitment to pushing the limits of what’s possible within areas such as decentralised storage, smart contracts, and cybersecurity is exactly what the Qubic Grants Program Committee looks for in its members.
