The Halving Mechanism
Each year, Qubic’s emissions go through a halving cycle.
What happens:
The protocol still emits the same amount of QUBIC each epoch
But a larger portion of that emission is burned
This reduces the effective emissions that reach Computors and miners
This creates long-term scarcity without changing the base emission math. The more that’s burned, the less that circulates — tightening the economy each year.
The halving isn’t automatic. It requires Quorum approval from Computors, which adds another layer of consensus to the monetary policy.
