LESSON 5

Computors vs Traditional Validators

Most blockchain validators stake tokens to participate. In many networks, more capital means more control — which can create centralization risks.

Qubic avoids that entirely.

Traditional Validators:

Require token staking

Compete for block rewards

Centralized by capital

Risk slashing

Qubic Computors:

No staking required

Vote on tick validity together

Fixed quorum based on performance

Replaced if underperforming

…the Arbitrator removes it from the Quorum and replaces it. This avoids downtime and prevents disruption.
