MINING EDITION

MODULE 1

LESSON 5

Troubleshooting Basics

Common Issues & Fixes

Miner won’t start

Check config file syntax, especially commas/quotes

Low hashrate

Ensure all CPU cores are enabled, check cooling, close background apps

Rejected shares

Try different pool, lower threads, check internet stability

Overheating

Improve cooling, lower thread count, clean dust from fans

PRO TIP

A sudden drop in hashrate often means background apps or Windows updates are eating CPU cycles. Disable unnecessary processes while mining.

HANDS-ON TASK

Test your miner’s performance with different thread counts (e.g., full cores vs. -2 cores) and see which setting gives the highest stable hashrate.
